For Halloween, I dressed up as a cat and handed out candy to the students
who came up to me and said "Trick or Treat!"
The students seemed to really enjoy it,
and some of them were dressed up, too! Here's a picture of me
with the English Drama Club wearing my cat ears-
I had a great time going around school and meeting new students.
I think they enjoyed it too, especially since they got Halloween candy!
In October, I participated in a Japanese speech contest
for foreigners in Kumagaya.
The theme of my speech was 「暑いぞ、熊谷！」.
In my speech, I talked about how life in Kumagaya
has been difficult to adjust to, but that the people here
have made that adjustment so much better
with their kindness and help.
Now that I've been here a little longer
and the weather's gotten cooler,
I've become much more comfortable living in Kumagaya.
Thank you to my co-workers, students, bosses, friends,
and everyone else who made me feel welcome here.
I look forward to the rest of my stay in Kumagaya!
